About the Academy

Guided by Tradition,
Driven by Passion

Welcome to the Nandana Werapitiya Dance Academy — a premier institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Sri Lankan traditional dance. Founded by the award-winning dancer and instructor Nandana Werapitiya, our academy has been a beacon of cultural excellence for years.

We specialize in Kandyan traditional dance, Poru rituals, drumming arts, and comprehensive dance training for all ages. From the sacred Kohomba Kankariya to vibrant wedding performances, we bring authenticity, discipline, and soul to every movement.

Our mission is to pass down these timeless art forms to the next generation — nurturing talent, building confidence, and keeping our cultural flame burning bright across Sri Lanka and the world.
